Execution was key today. I only had 6 bites, but managed to land all of them and was fortunate enough to get a big bite bringing in 13-13. Shorter day tomorrow, due in at 3:20. The wind is going to howl, we’ll see how that shakes things up.
Elite on Ross Barnett starts tomorrow.
Practice has definitely been interesting. I did a little pre tournament scouting before off limits, basically just navigating because these waters can cost a guy a lower unit if your not careful. I’m really surprised at how small it’s fishing. I mean really small. I boat #80 due in at 3:40, we’ll see if I …
Time for the Chick
Tomorrow kicks off the 2nd event in the Southern Bass Open lineup – Lake Chickamaumga in TN. I’ve been on the lake since Saturday and had a good practice, we’ll see if I can make it happen tomorrow, due in at 3:00 est.
Quick Turnaround
After just a few days at home it was time to pack and reload for the next two events – Lake Chickamaunga in TN and Ross Barnett Reservior in Mississippi. It’s going to be a busy April!
On to Day-2
Shorter day today, due in at 3:00 central time. I’m still looking for that illusive Toledo Bend big bite. The fish are definitely a little funky!!
It’s time for Toledo Bend
Toledo Bend is one of my favorite lakes in Texas, so I always get excited when it rolls up on the Elite Schedule. This year practice has been a little hit and miss, but I’m hoping all the toads are just waiting for tournaments day. I’ll be in at 4:00 – hopefully I can make …
Time to rock on the Big’O
Conditions have definitely changed since pre practice, but that’s nothing new on this pond that seems to always reinvent its self. We had a weather system roll through today, so I’m looking forward to getting at it tomorrow and seeing what’s out there – due in at 3:20 EST.
Time to Look Ahead to Okeechobee
The first Elite event did not go as planned. After two days of fishing I landed in 98th place. Time to shake it off and move on to concentrating on the next event, Okeechobee. It’s no secret that it is one of my favorite lakes in the Nation and I’m super stoked about going back. …
First Elite Event of the Season
I’m boat #8 tomorrow for the season opener on Cherokee Lake TN. Practice has been a mixed bag and with snow predicted tomorrow, I’m not sure what to expect. Due in at 3:20est hoping for good sized limit.
Season Opener
I’m ready to Rock’N’Roll on the Harris Chain! The first event of the season, BASS Southern Open Stop #1 starts tomorrow. I’ve had a mixed bag of a practice, but really excited to be back in Florida and fishing these great lakes. A monster bag is alway a possibility here.
